Strike against SOPA – Victory!

“We Won for now” – the message I’ve got in email today…

On January 18th, 13 million people took their time to tell Congress to protect the free speech online, stop the internet censorship bills, SOPA & PIPA. Tens of millions of people joined together to defend their freedom. I have also joint the protest along with the biggest Google, Wikipedia and many more. Websites and blogs including mine were blacked out like this:

It was the largest online protest in history. Billions around the world saw it.

Stop Online Piracy Act /SOPA/ and the Protect Intellectual Property Act /PIPA/ legislative proposals to protect copyright online were dropped by USA Congress today.

These are really good news, for photographers too. Our legislators attempts to protect our rights might have cause more harm than good and could destroy our online marketing strategies and ways to show and sell photographs…

Extraordinary approach to architecture, art and photography. It is hard to believe that all what you are going to see was fully computer generated.
The Third & The Seventh CG animation was created by Alex Roman.
Watched a few times and decided to share with you. While the weather outside is so bad let have something beautiful to watch.

Nadzwyczajne podejście, spojrzenie na architekturę, sztukę, fotografię. Ciężko uwierzyć, że animacja, którą za chwilę obejrzycie jest w całości wykonana komputerowo.
The Third & The Seventh zostało wykonane przez Alexa Roman.
Po wielokrotnym obejrzeniu stwierdziłem, że muszę Wam to pokazać. Kiedy pogoda za oknem nie najlepsza, miejmy coś pięknego do obejrzenia.
Byłem szczerze zaskoczony, wręcz powalony jakością, dźwiękiem i… Miłego oglądania.

Scott Kelby Second Annual Worldwide Photo Walk

Hi readers. Scott Kelby 48 years old happy husband and father… /more about him you can find on his personal and professional Blog/ announced Second Annual Worldwide Photo Walk.

After a huge response after last year Photo Walk and so many photographers wanted to join and take the camera to the streets here comes the time for the second time to have fun.

The official date is 18th July 2009.

Do not wait… check out http://worldwidephotowalk.com/ find the city near you and register. The list of participants for each town is 50.

I have already joined Photo Walk in Cork. If you wanna meet me and other photographers simply sign-in and meet us there.

The Walk Leader for Cork will be Donncha O Caoimh. He lives in Blarney, Co. Cork, Ireland with his wife and son. He works on WordPress and can often be found making photos too. You can find out more about him on the In Photos about page. I am very impressed by his work and his announcement that the photographs presented on http://inphotos.org/ are No – Photoshopped.

For the record: Last year, by the day of the actual Photo Walk itself, there was 236 active cities. This year more than that is registered already (316 active cities as a write this, and more than 340 walks already approved) as Scott wrote on his Blog.
